Compliance Assignment Details

A cleaner, policy-by-policy view of every requirement on an assignment and what the vendor actually provided

Availability: Self-Service customers only.

Overview

We've redesigned the Details tab on compliance assignments. 🎉 Every requirement on an assignment is now grouped policy by policy, with what you require side by side with what the vendor provided. You can spot gaps at a glance, jump straight to the coverage that needs attention, and edit requirements without leaving the page.

Background

Previously, the Details page grouped criteria by type of requirement: all limits together, all endorsements together, all description of operations and insurance provisions together. To work out which policy was short, you had to piece it together across sections.

Now everything is grouped by policy. Drill into a policy and you'll see its criteria, still organized by type underneath, with a compliance status on every policy, so you can spot the deficient one straight away. The Overview tab still gives you the condensed list of outstanding deficiencies. The Details tab is where you go for the full picture.

What's new

  • 🗃️ Grouped by policy: each policy gets its own card with a Compliant / Non-Compliant status, and its criteria are organized by type inside it.
  • 🧭 Coverage navigator: a rail on the left lists every coverage on the assignment (e.g. Commercial General Liability, Auto Liability, Excess/Umbrella, Workers Compensation). A green dot means compliant, a red dot means there's an issue. Click one to jump to it.
  • 📊 Required vs. Provided, side by side — every limit and provision shows the required value next to what's on the certificate.
  • 🔍 Filters — switch between All, Issues and Waivers to focus on what matters.
  • 🗂️ Compact assignment fields — the key fields show up top, with See more to expand the rest.
  • ✏️ Same editing experience: if you're an admin, editing works just as it did before, in the new layout.

Finding the Details tab

  1. Go to Insurance Tracking › Assignments and open an assignment.
  2. The header shows the assignment name, its status (e.g. Requesting Corrections, Active), the vendor, the number of policies and how many criteria are met (e.g. 29/32 criteria met).
  3. Click the Details tab (next to Overview, Activity and Documents).

The action bar above the tabs is unchanged: Upload Document, Send Email, Request Exception, Report, Requirement Template, Deficiencies and Deactivate Assignment.

Assignment fields

The Assignment Fields panel shows the essentials — Assigned Users, Assignment Name, Service Types, Requirements Category and Assignment Locations.

  • Click See more to reveal the rest of your custom fields (for example Auto-Deactivation Date, Escalation, Contract #, Buyer, Primary Contact Name, Property Manager or Client Alert). Click See less to collapse them.
  • Click Edit Fields to change any value.

Reviewing assignment requirements

The Assignment Requirements section starts with the carrier floor — the minimum AM Best financial size and strength every carrier must meet (e.g. Size ≥ XIII, Strength ≥ A).

Each coverage then gets its own card. The card header shows the coverage name and status (Compliant or Non-Compliant), plus the insurance company, policy number, expiration date and a count of limits, endorsements and additional insureds. Inside the card:

  • Limits & Carrier Rating — each limit (e.g. Each Occurrence, General Aggregate, Combined Single Limit) and the carrier's financial size and strength, with Required and Provided columns. Provided values that meet the requirement show in green.
  • Endorsements — required endorsements and additional insureds, or None required.
  • Certificate Holder — checks that the certificate holder name and address match what you require.
  • Description of Operations — the entities that must be named (e.g. additional insured entities) and whether each was provided.
  • Insurance Provisions — specific wording requirements (e.g. CGL – Insured Name, CGL – Occurrence Basis, Auto – Additional Insured, WC – Employee Exclusion Box), required vs. provided.
  • Carriers — each carrier on the certificate with its NAIC number, AM Best rating and whether it applies to this coverage.
  • Documents — the documents attached to that coverage.

💡 Use the coverage navigator on the left to jump between coverages, and the Issues filter to show only the coverages that are failing.

Editing requirements

If you have editing access (admins), the editing experience is virtually unchanged. You can still make overrides, or deviations from the assignment's Requirements Category, and they're tracked exactly as before.

  1. Click Edit Requirements at the top right of the Assignment Requirements section.
  2. Adjust the carrier floor using the Size and Strength dropdowns.
  3. For each policy you can update the Policy # and Expires date, and toggle Required coverage and Provided.
  4. Edit any Required or Provided limit directly in its field. Per coverage you can also tick Ignore AM Best rating, Combined with excess or Ignore limits.
  5. Tick or untick Required / Provided for the certificate holder, description of operations, insurance provisions and carriers. Use + Add to add an insurance provision, or + Add Policy to add a coverage.
  6. A bar at the bottom of the screen tracks your edits. Click Save Changes to apply them, or Cancel to discard.

Tips

  • ✅ Start with the Issues filter; it's the fastest way to see why an assignment isn't compliant.
  • 📋 Need the short version? The Overview tab still shows a condensed summary of outstanding deficiencies.
  • 📝 Edits made here are overrides to the assignment's Requirements Category, and they're tracked just as before.
