Mark up certificates of insurance with your own annotations before sending.
Custom Annotations on Certificates of Insurance
What's new
You can now add your own custom annotations directly on top of a certificate of insurance, layered alongside the AI-generated red and green markings you're already familiar with. This gives you a way to highlight specific issues or add clarifying notes when the standard deficiency email isn't quite enough.
What you can do
Circle or box areas of the certificate that need attention, then type in custom notes explaining exactly what revisions you're looking for — for example, calling out a missing additional insured entity and specifying what needs to be added. Your annotations sit on top of the existing AI overlay, so the recipient still sees everything our system flagged automatically, plus your specific guidance.
How it gets to the vendor
Once you've added your annotations, you can email them to both the listed agent and the vendor directly. They'll receive a message prompting them to review the annotation, and when they open it they'll see the same certificate with the red and green markings plus your custom notes.
When to use it
This feature is designed for one-off situations where you want to add extra clarification beyond the automated deficiency emails that already go out. If a particular certificate needs special attention or you want to make a fix request unmistakably clear, this is the tool to reach for.
