May 2026 - Exception Requests for Compliance Deficiencies (Full-Service Clients only)

No more back-to-client emails. Handle one-off exceptions in a few clicks — with a permanent record on every assignment.

When a vendor or tenant genuinely can't meet a specific requirement, the conversation that follows used to live in an email thread. Now it lives in BCS.

With Exception Requests, users can flag a deficiency directly from the assignment, submit a business rationale, and route it to your designated approvers. Approvers get an email, click in, approve or reject each item with a note, and save. Done.

Across the platform, you'll see a new Exception Status column on assignments, a purple indicator on any requirement pending review, and a permanent marker on approved exceptions showing exactly what was modified and why. Everything is captured in the activity log, and the new Exception Reviews tab gives you one place to see what's in flight.

To set it up, head to Settings → Requirements → Exception Approvers and designate your internal approvers.

Software + Services clients: the "back to client" email process you're used to is being replaced by this feature. You'll still get notified the moment a decision is needed — just click in, weigh in, and move on.

This is the initial release, with more improvements already on the way.
