May 2026 - Requirement Category Assignment Logic

Configure conditional logic so the system assigns the correct requirement category to each vendor automatically — no more manual selection at setup.

Manual requirement category selection is a common source of inconsistency, especially across large teams and complex programs. With Automatic Requirement Category Assignment, you can define rules based on any field you track in BCS — service type, vendor type, region, portfolio, and more — and the system will assign the correct category automatically when a vendor is set up.

Build branches for each group of values, map them to the appropriate requirement category, set a fallback to catch any edge cases, and layer in additional logic where needed. Once configured, your users simply fill in the field values — the system handles the rest.
