October 3rd, 2023 - Rebranding Announcement

This month's update includes the most extensive refactoring of our user interface, as well as significant new feature additions.

User Interface

One of the major updates to the user interface will be centered around our rebranding efforts. We have decided to replace the traditional blues and greens with our fresh and vibrant pinks and purples. This visual transformation will give our interface a new and exciting look, reflecting our updated brand identity.

 

Additionally, we have made updates to the Vendor/Tenant page to enhance usability. With the inclusion of more subsections, it will now be easier to navigate and find specific information such as company details, contacts, and documents. These improvements aim to streamline the user experience and make it more convenient for users to access the information they need.

 

New Features

Although users may notice a change in the look and feel of our interface, the most significant improvements actually come in the form of new features and functionality. We are excited to introduce a range of exciting additions that we invite you to explore and experience firsthand.

(Please note that if you are a full-service client, there may be some limitations on accessing these new features to avoid any unintentional interference with the work of our BCS Compliance Analysts.)

 

1. The BCS Database vs The BCS App

To provide our users with a seamless and unified experience, we have made the decision to discontinue access to the BCS Database. Instead, we have integrated all the necessary functionality and data visibility directly into the BCS App. With this change, as of December 1st 2023 there will no longer be a separate "BCS Database" but rather a consolidated experience within the "BCS" App.

 

2. Documents

In the previous version of BCS, users may recall that we had separate categories for Attachments and Documents. Depending on whether you were attaching an insurance certificate or other miscellaneous documents like W9's, contracts, or licenses, you had to save them in different sections of the app.

However, with the new BCS App, we have simplified this process. Now, there is only one section called "Documents." When you upload a document, you will be prompted to indicate the type of document you are attaching. This improvement makes it much easier for you to locate the specific documents you need without having to navigate to different parts of the app.

 

3. Activity

To enhance user experience, we have consolidated "Notes," "Notices," and "Follow-ups" into a centralized section called "Activity." Here, we compile all the relevant activity related to the Vendor or Tenant into a user-friendly time log categorized by different "activity types." This intuitive feature allows you to easily track and review all interactions and engagements with the Vendor or Tenant in one convenient location.

Further, the user can initiate a new activity using the Action Buttons at the top. These include: 

  • Sending an email
  • Creating a task
  • Logging a note
  • Logging a phone call

 

4. My Tasks

We have consolidated all your action items, including unread emails, open tasks, and documents pending review, into a convenient and efficient action center called "My Tasks." By bringing everything together in one place, we have made it easier for you to stay organized and complete your work more efficiently. With the ability to sort tasks by their due dates, you can prioritize your workload and complete tasks without the need to navigate between different Vendor/Tenant records. This centralized approach streamlines your workflow and helps you stay on top of your responsibilities.

 

5. Analytics

We are excited to announce the introduction of a dedicated section for reporting with the launch of our first Analytics dashboard. Users will be delighted to discover intuitive reports that provide high-level metrics and insights into their organization's compliance. We have big plans for this new feature and will be releasing many more enhancements in the coming months. Stay tuned for even more valuable insights and tools to help you optimize your operations.
