Send a Document for Signature

Send a published signature template or a one-off document to a vendor; mapped fields pre-fill from the vendor record and the vendor gets an email link to sign.

Module: E-Signatures. Available on E-Signature Basic and Professional plans.

Overview

Send any published template (or a one-off document) to a vendor in a few clicks. 📨 The vendor receives an email link to review and sign, and mapped fields pre-fill from the vendor record.

Send it ✉️

  1. Go to E-Signatures → Agreements and click Send for Signature (or click Send next to a template).
  2. Choose Use a template (a published, reusable template) or One-off request (design a document for a single send).
  3. Pick the Signature Template and the Vendor.
  4. Confirm the Recipient Email.
  5. Set Expires In (days). The expiration date is shown next to it.
  6. Choose the Internal Countersigner if the template leaves it to send time.
  7. Review the Signing Order and Fields at Signing: each field shows who completes it (Vendor completes, Countersigner completes) or whether it's Pre-filled, editable or Read-only.
  8. Add an optional Message to Vendor and click Send Document.

One-off requests 📝

Choose One-off request, enter a Document Name and the Vendor, then click Design Fields & Continue to place the signature, text and date fields before picking the recipient and sending. One-off requests are kept under Client Settings, where you can convert one into a reusable template at any time.
