Availability: Hiring Company accounts (Self-Service). Full-Service clients — see the note at the end.
Overview
A location is a site, property or project where your vendors and tenants work. Besides the address, each location stores the entities that must appear on the certificates of insurance for work there — the certificate holder and the additional insured entities. 📍
Add a location
- Open Locations. Click Locations in the left menu. Besides the list of locations, you'll see tabs for Location Groups, Additional Insured and Certificate Holders.
- Click + Add Location.
- Enter the name and address. Location Name and Location Address are required; add the city, state and zip so your team and vendors recognize the site.
- Optional: choose a Location Group to organize related sites together.
- Choose the Certificate Holders — the entities that belong in the certificate holder box of the COI.
- Choose the Additional Insured entities that must be named as additional insured.
- Leave Active checked and click + Create Location. The location is now available when you add assignments. ✅
Tips
- 💡 If an entity you need isn't in the dropdown, close the form and add it first under the Additional Insured or Certificate Holders tab.
- 💡 Spell entities exactly as they should read on a certificate — they drive the additional insured wording your requirement categories check for.
- 💡 Locations can't be deleted, only deactivated. See How to remove a location.
