Edit Requirements for One Assignment

Adjust the requirements for a single job or lease without changing its requirement category.

Availability: Hiring Company accounts (Self-Service). Full-Service clients — see the note at the end.

Overview

Every assignment starts from a requirement category. Sometimes one job needs something different — a higher limit, or a coverage the contract waives. You can change the requirements for that one assignment without touching the category or any other vendor. 🛠️

👉 To change requirements for every assignment on a category, edit the category instead — see Requirement Categories. For tenants whose terms vary lease by lease, see Lease-Specific Requirements.

Edit one assignment's requirements

  1. Open the assignment. From Directory, open the vendor or tenant, go to Assignments & Compliance and click the assignment. The Requirement Category column shows the category it started from.
  2. Open the Details tab. Assignment Requirements lists every policy with what's Required next to what the vendor Provided. Use All / Issues / Waivers to filter.
  3. Click Edit Requirements and change limits, or remove or add coverages, for this assignment.
  4. Look for the asterisk. Anything that differs from the assigned category is marked *Different from the assigned requirement category.

Undo your changes

Click Reset to original to put the assignment back in line with its requirement category. ↩️

Change the category instead

To move the assignment to a different category altogether, click Edit Fields on the Details tab and change Requirements Category.

Tips

  • 💡 Assignment-level edits don't update when the category changes later — reset the assignment if you want it to follow the category again.
  • 💡 The carrier floor (AM Best size and strength) is shown next to the requirements, so you can see what rating the assignment expects.
